SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT

Megaman X was one of my favorite games of my childhood. I had always thought about making a Megaman kitbash, and when the Leo NPD was announced I knew I had to think of a way to make it possible. I used 3 kits for this kitbash including the new Build Divers kit which has a head option that looks extremely similar to Megaman’s head. I tried to replicate the look of X as closely as possible, including the X-Buster and finding the right kits to match his look. This was also my first time experimenting with tamiya epoxy putty which worked really well on sealing some of the holes in the armor.

I’m really proud of the result and how well the kitbash came together. Being a big Megaman fan myself, ( I wish Capcom would make a new X game!) I tried to pose the kit copying a lot of X’s game sprites like dashing, wall climbing and his victory pose. Perhaps one day, I’ll finish up my Zero kitbash…
